The FBD Better Farming Awards held at the Heritage Hotel in Co. Laois proved to be a night of celebration and recognition for FRS Co-op, with FRS Farm Relief and Herdwatch in the running as finalist. We were delighted to have been short-listed for two distinguished awards, showcasing our commitment to innovation, sustainability, and excellence in the agricultural sector.
We are thrilled to have received recognition in the “Best Research Project” category during the event hosted by Agri Insider. This recognition further fuels our commitment to innovation, sustainability, and the continuous improvement of agricultural practices within our network and beyond.
Special thanks to all the FRS team involved in our research project on the ‘Outlook of External Farm Labour Support in Ireland’, to Opinions for conducting the research with such professionalism and to FBD Insurance for their support. Through the research we gained many valuable insights into the current landscape, challenges, and opportunities for the agricultural labour market. Congratulations to Anne-Marie Feighery from Offaly, who won the FRS Co-op Diversification Farmer of the year award. This award commends a farm’s exceptional efforts in establishing an alternative business or adding value with a commitment to sustainable farming, driving economic improvement and embracing a positive story for the industry. Congratulations also to Liam Kildea from Roscommon who won the ‘Herdwatch Biodiversity Farmer of the Year’ award.
