The Ploughing proved to be an exhilarating three days for FRS Co-op despite the challenging weather on Tuesday. Our marquee was a bustling hub of activity, featuring a diverse array of services catering to the needs of all Agri enthusiasts. With FRS Farm Relief, FRS Fencing, FRS Training, FRS Recruitment, and Herdwatch all under one roof, there was something for everyone. In addition to our core services, we also welcomed representatives from our sister brands; Turas Nua and Wrk Wrk, who were expanding our scope of connections.
Virtual Reality Quad Bike Experience
FRS Training’s Virtual Reality Quad Bike Experience, attracted crowds of all ages, including Minister Martin Heydon and ‘The Sheep Game’ Vlogger Cammy Wilson, who hailed all the way from Scotland. This interactive exhibit served as a unique platform to share important farm safety messages, ahead of the upcoming Quad Bike regulations set to take effect from November 2023.
Launch of Free Online Farm Safety Training: ‘Farm Family CPD’
Project coordinator, Bernadette O’Connor sparked interest in Farm Family CPD, a newly launched initative that offers FREE online Farm Safety Training to all generations on the farm.
Cultivating Connections in the Agri-Community
FRS Farm Relief Services and FRS Recruitment teams seized the opportunity to network with clients and potential employees, forging valuable connections within the Agri-Sector.
Display of Creosote Alternatives
FRS Fencing had a fantastic product display outside the marquee that largely focussed on their range of creosote alternatives, including: Dura2 Pressure Treated Posts, Copper Oil Pressure Treated Posts, Tanalith Pressure Treated Posts and Tanalith Incised Pressure Treated Posts.
Herdwatch: Special Guests and Award Winner
Herdwatch kicked off the week on a high with some well-deserved recognition in the Innovation Arena. BIG CONGRATULATIONS all on winning the award for ‘Best Farm Software’ – A super and well-deserved achievement! Throughout the week, Herdwatch also welcomed two special guests, Farmer Phil and Cammy Wilson joined us for a meet and greet session.
Special Thank You to Hospice Charity
We’d like to extend a special thank you to the hospice charity, who joined us in serving teas and coffees to customers inside the marquee. It was a delightful way to give back to the community and make the stand even more welcoming. We’re already looking forward to next year’s event, but for now we’re Ploughing on with the rest of 2023!
